AUGUST EDIT//

Since this is the first of this series (I secretly want it to start off with a bang, but poor planning on my part), it is a little light on the content side. This is my version of a monthly favourites series. I'll post my highlights, favourite products/accessories/foods/clothing, favourite readings, goals that I achieved (this coincides with the posts I'll be doing at the beginning of every month), and anything else that summarizes the month for me. It could be in the form of a post or, hopefully one day, a video post.

So, the start of this month was pretty uneventful but on August 29th I had a laparoscopy for the excision of an enodmetrioma. I have had daily pain and discomfort since Novemeber 2015. In January, I had a exploratory laparoscopy to diagnose endometriosis and remove any lesions or cysts that were causing the pain. Soon after the surgery, I realized that I was still having the pain. An MRI followed, another specialist appointment, and then a surprise cancellation which gave me a week to prepare for the surgery. It was a beautiful blessing of a surprise and I jumped at the chance. As I write this I'm in my second week of being off for recovery. My abdomen is still very sore unfortunately, but I'm so happy it's been done.

That's about all I've read this month that I can remember. Sad, but true. As for products, I tried the Olay Cleansing Brush, it's been good so far, it's soft enough to use daily if you really wanted to. I use the Vichy Gel Cleanser for Sensitive Skin and sometimes the Olay Refinishing Pore Scrub that came in the kit. I follow it up with Normaderm Moisturizer and, most recently, 100% Vitamin E Oil (for the dark spots). I've also been putting the Vitamin E oil on my incision marks for scaring.

That's been my month so far. I'll do better next month.
